Made-To-Order Paintings
I create unique made-to-order paintings for my clients’ homes and offices, such as oil portraits for weddings, birthdays, and to commemorate loved ones who have passed on. I also create feng shui paintings to enhance business success. For each commission, I work closely with my clients to understand their needs. Throughout the commission, I send picture updates of my progress. Changes can be made as necessary. Once the painting is finalised, I help clients to frame, deliver and install the paintings in their homes or offices (for Klang Valley clients). For overseas clients, I use a reputable international courier company to courier their paintings, rolled up in a secured hard tube.
Golden Horse

I painted this horse for my clients for their vacation home in London. The intention was to paint a magnificent, dignified and regal looking horse to match the architectural and historical landmark building on the royal site of Whitehall Palace, where my client’s home is located. This painting is inspired by George Stubbs “Whistlejacket”.
Wedding Portrait

I created this oil portrait by referring to a photo that my client forwarded to me. For portraits, I strive to capture not only the likeness but also the essence and personality of the person. The first meeting to discuss a painting commission with my client is important because this is when I have the opportunity to understand my client’s background and personality.

Spring Dance

I was given liberty to create a painting for the newly renovated home of a young couple. Upon meeting them online, I was inspired by their new love and happiness. This painting is of 3 red spring flowers dancing in the wind. I drew inspiration from Spring - new beginnings, vibrant sun energy, fresh spring grass & flowers. I incorporated wind and movement to symbolise Dance and the synergy between the young couple. The number 3 to represent Life and their future family unit.
Love, Peace & Respect

My client commissioned this painting in loving memory of her partner’s late parents. I was given a black & white photo as reference. I accompanied my client to seek advice from an Indian fabric shop owner about suitable colours for this portrait. I created this oil portrait in colour based on the recommendation.
Lotus with Dollar Sign

This is a feng shui painting of a dollar sign hidden in a lotus scenery for my client’s home. The flow of the lotus flowers in an S-shape and the middle stalk represent the $ dollar sign. The lotus buds gradually blooming into full bloom lotus flowers represent their family business growing from strength to strength over the years. The pair of koi fish represent my clients and the pair of mandarin ducks represent their son and daughter-in-law following their footsteps in the family business. The pair of dragonflies represent their future grandchildren.
Father and Sons

My client commissioned this oil portrait of her husband and sons as a surprise birthday gift for her husband. I combined their images from 2 different photos and reoriented their positions to create a formal portrait.
Gordon Gekko

My Hong Kong based client commissioned this oil portrait of Gordon Gekko in the movie Wall Street in a large size. Once completed, I couriered it to my client in Hong Kong.
Harvest

This feng shui paddy field painting was commissioned by my client for his office in Penang, Malaysia. I created a scenery of a rich field of yellow ready-to-harvest paddy to represent growth, vitality, abundance and prosperity for his business.
Avatar Mountains

This artwork was inspired by my visit to the Zhangjiajie Mountains in China, popularly known for being featured in the movie "Avatar". My client commissioned a large piece for their home. It was created free style using charcoal sticks with a light green acrylic wash at the end. Multiple layers of clear varnish was sprayed to seal and protect the charcoal work before framing.
Mountains with Morning Mist

My clients commissioned this large long horizontal oil painting for their home. It is a painting of grand misty mountains and 88 birds flying by the rising sun. Its auspicious meaning is that of grand visions and dreams, of scaling great heights to achieve one’s dreams and of being innovative and ahead in life and business.

Go With The Flow

This painting was created for my client’s home in Singapore. The cool colours of the water contrast with the warm colours of the corals. The rough coral texture contrasts with the softness of the seaweed. This painting represents both the Yin and Yang elements in Chinese beliefs. This painting is about balance and harmony and the bringing of a smooth flow of light, energy and movement into the home.
